My Fair Prince
At thirty-six years old, Izumi Hidaka (Manami Higa) seems to be living the dream. Four years ago, her otome game, “Love My Pegasus”, exploded onto the scene, becoming an overnight success. Now the CEO of a start-up game company, Pegasus Inc., Izumi seems to have everything she’s ever wanted. But when it comes to relationships, that’s not entirely the case. Having based Kento-sama, the main character of “Love My Pegasus”, on her ideal man, Izumi has spent years obsessing over her “perfect” man. From looks to personality, everything about Kento is exactly what Izumi hopes to find in a man. Unfortunately, finding anyone in real-life who can compare to Kento has proven next to impossible. Unwilling to settle for anything less than perfect, Izumi might have spent her entire life alone, had fate not decided to intervene. Dropping Wataru Igarashi (Keisuke Watanabe) quite literally into her life, Izumi is shocked to find a man who looks exactly like her beloved Kento. However, she is bitterly disappointed when she realizes that their similarities end there. Brash, rude, uneducated, and a trouble-maker, Wataru couldn’t be more of a disappointment but rather than give up on the twenty-three year old, Izumi decides to take him under her wing. Determined to turn Wataru into a real gentleman, Izumi gives it her all but soon discovers that crafting a perfect real-world man is a lot more difficult than programming a virtual one. Will her efforts pay off in the end or will she be forced to accept defeat? “My Fair Prince” is a 2021 romantic comedy directed by Mahito Kimura, Keita Kono, and Yoshinori Kuraki.
