Sho Moteuchi (Shuhei Nomura) is a high schooler who moves into his uncle's home after his parents' divorce. He has a crush on his classmate Nanami, but she likes his friend Tomoaki, who pretends not to notice for Sho's sake. After a playback period of three months, Ai returns to the video. Sho doesn't know what to do with her, but Ai does her best to please him. Thanks to Ai, Sho is able to go on a date with Nanami. Since it's Ai's duty to be by his side, she follows them on their date but ends up losing them. Sho and Nanami are nervous at first but start to open up as they talk about the movie they watched. Although Sho knows that she likes Tomoaki, he can't help but be happy. While Sho and Ai are out, they run into Rika Omiya (Karen Otomo), who was an underclassman at Sho's middle school. As Sho is surprised at how cute she's become, Ai becomes jealous of people's ability to reminisce about the past. Ai and Sho's first date is postponed. Anime producer Shimizu (Jun Murakami) comes to Sho's place as he seems to know who Ai is and is trying to secretly get close to her. Oblivious to his plans, Sho and friends are ecstatic that a pro is critiquing their work. Kaoru (Kentaro Tomita) the womanizer goes on a date with Ai, saying that it's necessary for him to compose music. Sho secretly follows them, only to find out that Rika is doing the same. They act as a couple and continue their pursuit but are found out. Sho proposes a double date, but Kaoru refuses.
