Myonghwan meets Kang Dojun and Inju at the apprentice library; they share their hopes and dreams together; after they find out the secret behind the crown prince's assassination, they face with grave danger.

Twelve years later, Sukgu and Kwanghyon make a living on a remote island; Kwanghyon tries to go to the capital, but fails due to Sukgu's disapproval.

Kang Dojun's disgraced clan is restored; Kwanghyon, Baek Sukgu, and Yongdal are on the run.

Kwanghyon is saved and lives in the stables; while the ministers come to buy the horses, Jinyoung comes along with Yi Myonghwan.

The doctor in the cave discovers Kwang Hyun's abilities as he heals the horse for the first time; Kwang Hyun pays another visit to the capital and meets Jinyoung.

Jinyoung finds out that the horse doctor's name is Kwanghyon; Kwanghyon decides to save the horse that is supposed to be a tribute for the Qing.
