Shannon mistakes crime reporter Mac for a suspicious person at her best friend's B&B opening ceremony. The next day, she helps Mac with car trouble and makes a business appointment with him. Later, Shannon discovers Jesse's dead body at his home.

In the resort town of Lighthouse Cove, renovation expert Shannon takes on a project to renovate the Cradock mansion.
