Amamiya Yuuhi, an average college student, wakes up one morning to the sight of Neu Crescent, a talking lizard claiming to be a knight.

Yuuhi learns of the reason Samidare wishes to destroy the Earth.

Yuuhi returns home to face his grandfather, who reveals that his feelings have changed from what he thought in the past, and he apologies for all that he's done to Yuuhi; the sight leaves Yuuhi extremely distressed and angry.

Shinonome Hangetsu trains Samidare and defeats a golem, making Yuuhi wary; he also tries to woo Hisame.

Yuuhi seeks Hangetsu's help to enhance her abilities; Hangetsu narrates his story.

Yuuhi struggles to cope with Hangetsu's death.
