For the instructors and staff at Noryangjin Institute, a private teaching academy in Seoul that helps its students prepare for the competitive civil service exams, the answer can be found in a stiff drink that is best drunk alone. Jin Jung Suk (Ha Seok Jin) is a seasoned and popular lecturer of Korean history at the institute who often decompresses after a tough day of teaching by drinking alone. Many of his co-workers are the same way.
