Innocente

At a house where she has been asked to examine a mask, archaeologist Roxane Delage is attacked and awakes half-naked, with a man's body in the next room. Panic-stricken, she covers her tracks and flees. A few hours later, she is arrested for murder.

Eight years later, Roxane is released from prison and seeks to prove her innocence. Her ex-husband is now with with her best friend, and her daughter refuses to see her. She meets lieutenant Combas and strongly protests her innocence.

Roxane convinces her ex-husband to help investigate the Ortiz family. A clue leads them to the port to check containers believed to be used for smuggling works of art. At great risk, Alexis finds vital information in François Ortiz's office.

When Alexis dies from his injuries, everything points to an accident but Combas and Roxane are convinced it's a murder. Roxane must recover a letter proving Roxane's innocence and establishing the guilt of a member of the Ortiz family.

Roxane risks everything and contacts Careco, Pablo Ortiz's rival for the municipal elections. She convinces him to help bring the Ortiz family down by making them believe she has a copy of the letter. The plan seems to be work until Roxane is seized.

Roxane visits the Ortiz property, unaware that a trap awaits her. Accused again of murder, her remaining supporters doubt her until her daughter overhears a telephone conversation, and realises that Roxane was the victim of a plot from the outset.
