Cheryl Chase

As the voice of the snotty, manipulative Angelica Pickles, cousin of main baby Tommy Pickles on the vastly influential animated Nickelodeon series "Rugrats," Cheryl Chase secured her longest lasting and most highly praised role. With her dramatic, high-pitched tone (along with plenty of sharp dialogue provided by the show's writers), Chase's Angelica had the tendency of stealing scenes whenever she was on-screen. From 1991 to 2002, Chase went on to voice the character for a total of 90 episodes, despite the fact that she initially auditioned for the role of Tommy. But there's plenty more on Chase's resume than just that one iconic job; in fact, the voice actress actually got her start back in 1984 with a role as Pinky on the Japanese anime series "Noozles." The late '80s brought a handful of additional anime jobs, but it wasn't until Chase hooked up with the Nickelodeon network that her career truly took off. Besides getting her start on "Rugrats," Chase cemented 1991 as a banner year by contributing various female voice parts to the raunchy, controversial Nick show "Ren & Stimpy." Perhaps inevitably, though, her career has been defined by Angelica Pickles: Chase would go on to voice the character in various video games, "Rugrats" movies (including 1998's "The Rugrats Movie"), and even a spin-off series, "All Grown Up."
