Four strong women find themselves face to face once again, years later, in the seemingly perfect yet secret-filled world of Sarmaşık; the paths of the four former friends cross at their high school principal's funeral. With Dr. Oya's return to Sarmaşık, the friendships, grievances, and unresolved issues from the past resurface among Merve, Arzu, Pelin and Oya; though everything seems fine at first, old secrets, suppressed anger, and endless rivalry begin to threaten the peace of the community.

As Oya moves to the Sarmaşık complex, the unresolved issues of the past begin to resurface; secrets, jealousies and old scores buried years ago between Merve, Pelin, Arzu and Oya slowly come to light; the past between Pelin's husband Taylan and Oya further heightens Pelin's tension over Oya's return, while the balance at Sarmaşık begins to shift; Oya meets Serhan during a run in the forest and the powerful chemistry they feel at first sight foreshadows what is to come.

Murder and intrigue, as old wounds are opened by Merwe, leading to an altercation; Oya has to confront her past and present.

The ladies spread rumors to stir each other up; Pelin unwittingly starts a war between Merve and Oya; who goes on to win the battle this time?

The losses Serhan experiences at work drag him into an ever-growing sense of pressure; he struggles to maintain control, his stress intensifies, and he eventually suffers a serious health crisis; Oya appears in his life, in the right place at the right time; this unexpected closeness strengthens the invisible bond between them; Merve's unyielding and distant attitude toward Serhan deepens the coldness in their marriage; Arzu pursues her suspicions that Mehmet has been cheating on her.

As Mehmet continues to manipulate Arzu, he tries to make her feel guilty; while everyone in Sarmaşık is playing their own game, Merve pushes the button to create a new crisis in the triangle involving Oya, Pelin and Taylan; Arzu's birthday celebration is brimming with secrets ready to explode behind its glamorous facade; Oya, however, begins to realize the game being played against her and charts a new course by making her own moves to shift the balance of power in Sarmaşık.
