It is extremely hot and Takat is thirsty, but he can't seem to find water anywhere. Finally he finds a well, but doesn't know how to drink from it. With a lot of skill, however, he manages to cool himself down.
Takat sees Babs being taken away in a car in the direction of the port. She is then put on a boat that sets sail and Takat decides to follow her, but he miscalculates and the boat he gets on goes in a different direction.
