Cierra Ramirez

Cierra Ramirez was an American actress and singer best known for her role on the drama series "The Fosters" (Freeform, 2013-). Born and raised in Texas, Ramirez's initial ambition was to become a professional singer. As a little girl, she would often wow her friends with her big voice and quickly grew to love performing. At the age of 10 she had the opportunity to perform on television at the world famous Apollo Theater in New York City. Ramirez sang on a children-themed segment of the long running music competition show "Showtime at the Apollo," where she impressed the audience with her vocals. She was quickly signed to a record label shortly after her performance, and before long was opening for such legendary music groups as Earth, Wind and Fire and Chicago. By the mid-2000s Ramirez also began appearing on television. She nabbed guest spots on "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2002-2012) and "Desperate Housewives" (ABC, 2004-2012), before nabbing her first recurring role on "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" (Disney Channel, 2005-08). A few years later Ramirez nabbed her very first film role in "Girl In Progress" (2012), which also starred Eva Mendes and Patricia Arquette. 2012 was also the year Ramirez landed a recurring role on the ABC Family series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" (2008-2013). In total, she appeared in 22 episodes of the series. With her acting career reaching a high point, Ramirez nabbed her breakout screen-acting role in 2013 when she joined the cast of Freeform's "The Fosters." In July of 2017 the series premiered its fifth season on Freeform, with Ramirez retaining her role as Mariana Adams Foster.
