Banana Fish

Seventeen-year-old Ash Lynx, leader of a New York gang, sees a man mortally shot and hears him utter the words banana fish before he dies.

Skip and Eiji are kidnapped by Arthur and his people, and Ash is captured during a rescue attempt. Ash has an idea for an escape.

Ash meets his prison cell mate, a journalist named Max. When an attack sends Ash to the infirmary, he discovers something about Max.

Eiji heads to Meredith's medical clinic; Griffin's unexpected appearance causes Abraham to shoot; Ibe tells Eiji to go back to Japan.

Ash is released from prison by Jenkins' order; Eiji believes Ash is responsible for Griffin's death and follows him.

Ash and his group head to his hometown of Cape Cod to search for evidence Griffin may have left about banana fish, and they receive an icy reception from Ash's father.
