Ivanhoe

Ivanhoe returns from the Third Crusade to redeem his name, reclaim his inheritance, and win the hand of his beloved Rowena.

Only Rowena and his servant Gurth know of Ivanhoe's return. The disgraced knight must uphold Saxon honour against the Normans at the tournament.

Ivanhoe triumphs at the tournament and recovers under the care of Rebecca, who makes no secret of her feelings for him.

Wamba enters Torquilstone as a priest to help Cedric escape while Locksley and the Outlaws lay siege to the castle. Bois-Guilbert and Rebecca flee to Templestowe.

Sir Brian de Bois-Guilbert falls in love with Rebecca, but the Grand Master of the Knights Templar is consumed with anger and sends her to trial as a witch.

The Knights Templar condemn Rebecca to be burnt at the stake, but Ivanhoe champions her against Bois-Guilbert.
