Dotsuku, a warrior with a powerful bite, has a cunning plan to lay low and wait out the tournament while the others kill each other.

Niwatori, a fighter who can communicate with birds, finds her normally cold and calculating persona shifting toward compassion when she meets the warrior Sharyu.

Sharyu recalls her attempts to use her transmutation powers for good as she debates her optimistic ideals with her ally, Nezumi.

Hitsujii, a previous tournament winner, sizes up his competition; Sharyu battles Usagi and attempts to convince him to join her side.

Uuma's encounter with Ushii causes his confidence to crumble; Usagi and Sharyu's fight comes to a deadly end; the field narrows to six combatants.
