Xingchen attends the homecoming celebration for Zheng Chuyao, a rich playboy who is also Xingchen's future husband. At the party, Xingchen mistakes Jiang Nianyu for Zheng Chuyao; Zheng Chuyao forces Xingchen to break their engagement.

Julia, who has no money, eventually sends her daughter to Chen Ming Li. She accepts the young Lin Xing Chen as her daughter, and Xing Chen grows up lonely in a big and fancy house.

Chu Yao breaks convention by choosing Yang Yang as his dance partner over Xing Chen, leading to an unexpected and captivating collaboration on the dance floor.
