The Fable

Fable, a legendary assassin, learns about killing at an early age and eliminates people with ease; Boss asks Fable to give up contract killing and lay low for a year.

Akira and Yoko start their new life in Osaka, but trouble always seems to find them.

The boss orders Akira to care for a pet, but trouble finds him while he shops for an animal companion; Akira simply wants to live an ordinary life, but even Ebihara, Maguro Group's second in command, wants to interfere.

Sparks fly between Akira, who wants a peaceful life and Ebihara, who wants Akira out of her life; Takahashi, a member of the Maguro Group, has ulterior motives as he targets Yoko, a young woman with a love for liquor.

Motivated to lead a normal life, Akira goes job hunting, but his search doesn't go according to plan. As luck would have it, he meets Misaki, who recommends a job that leads his life in a strange direction.

After 15 years behind bars, Ebihara's protégé Kojima gets angrier about the fact that so much has changed at the Maguro Group; Akira gets a welcome party at his new job; something leaks out about Misaki's past.
