When his mistress's publisher husband deliberately misleads him, philandering banker Ryan Turner loses his job on a doomed deal. Soon, his writer girlfriend, Cindy Styne, dumps him and leaves town. But the resourceful Ryan takes over her advice column, deceiving readers into thinking it's still penned by Cindy, while also romancing column editor Page Hensen. But things get messy when Cindy reappears and goes to work for the man who lied to Ryan.
