Carlos, after a night of lust with a stranger, is held hostage by her thirst for revenge and, to his regret, will be used by her as a key player in the execution of her revenge plan.

Carlos and Patricia seal a deal to get rid of the people who disturb them. This ends up with Raúl's murder - Carlos's boss. Years later, Carlos is a successful executive when Patricia comes back demanding him to honor his part of the deal.

To get closer to Maria, Carlos gets a donation for her foundation, which causes a great impression; Carlos thinks he figured out who Patricia is.

Blackmailed by Patricia, Carlos agrees to wire fraudulent money to Fernando passing himself off as Ana; when the scandal breaks, Carlos demands Maria's resignation.

The Decoy
Carlos films a video of Fernando and his ex-girlfriend and sends it to Ana to create conflicts between them; after finding out about her husband cheating on her and the betrayal of her best friend, Maria gets Carlos' support.

Carlos tries to put an end to his deal, but Patricia does not compromise. María sees them talking in a coffee shop and talks to Carlos to berate him about it. The fight ends in an unexpected event. This aggravates Carlos's situation.

María phones Carlos and asks him not to send any more gifts. Patricia figures out that Carlos has uncovered her identity. When Carlos goes to find María, instead he finds a detective that tells him that something has happened to María.
