In 2002 Cohle and Hart begin to fall back to familiar and violent obsessions. Hart exacts savage vengeance on a pair of teenage boys, and Cohle becomes convinced they left something undone in 1995. 2012, and Maggie sheds light on when Cohle quit the force.

Daryl and Carol rush Judith to the hospital. Rosita, Eugene, and Gabriel search for Coco. Maggie and Negan take arms against Pamela. The heroes assemble for one last stand.

The Reapers defend Meridian from an incoming herd. Pope suspects Maggie is behind the attack, while Daryl treads carefully. Alexandrians scramble to protect themselves when a violent storm leaves them vulnerable to walkers.

The Alexandrians and the prisoners head back to the Commonwealth to confront Pamela Milton; a swarm approaches the city.
