Hearing that a billionaire Korean-Japanese businessman is looking for a Korean drama to invest $10 million into, Anthony Kim recalls the work of Lee Go Eun, an assistant writer who had gotten kicked out of drama industry three years ago. Anthony recklessly shows up in front of Go Eun and asks to produce a drama together.

After hearing from Akiko, the investor's wife, why the drama should be aired within the year, Anthony Kim hesitates to produce it out of fear that he might die if he fails to keep his promise. CEO Oh of Jaekuk Productions finds out that he had lost the Japanese investment contract to Anthony, so he tries to tempt Go Eun with an enticing offer.

Chief Moon asks Anthony to replace the award-less rookie writer with an experienced one. Anthony gets Kang Hyun Min to sign with him under the condition that he will pay Hyun Min $2 million at once, but Director Moon cannot grant him a spot in the broadcasting schedule until Anthony brings proof of the confirmed production budget.

The new chief, Nam Woon Hyung, reexamines former chief Moon's decision of putting "Morning of Gyeongseong" on the broadcasting schedule for November. In order to prevent any cancellations, Anthony persuades Vice Chief Kim to shake up the atmosphere of the broadcasting station and even gets the higher-ups to confirm the scheduling. Meanwhile, Go Eun, who has been fired by Anthony, receives a secret offer from CEO Oh of Jaekuk Productions.

Officially kicking off the production of the drama, Anthony tries to find a director for "Morning of Gyeongseong." However, the producers of the broadcasting station collectively issue a statement rejecting Anthony's work. In the end, Anthony looks for Director Gu Young Mok, an alcoholic living in the mountains, and asks him to take charge of "Morning of Gyeongseong."
