Caitlin Gerard

A native of Los Angeles, Caitlin Gerard grew up in close proximity to the film industry. Her mother was a producer mainly working in the international advertising scene, and Gerard herself had experience working as a production assistant. Despite all this, when the thoughtful young Gerard was approached on the street by a talent scout who offered her the chance to audition for a commercial, her main interest in the job was as a means to pay for college. Gerard would ultimately study English while attending UCLA, but her interest in film and TV never faded. After graduating, she finally hired an agent. A mere two weeks later, she booked her first feature film, the acclaimed biopic "The Social Network." Many more roles soon followed, including a starring role on the acclaimed web series "Jan" (WISGO, 2012) and in the horror movie "Smiley" (2012). She then appeared in the acclaimed film "Magic Mike" (2014). Gerard also decided to step behind the camera, producing the short film "I Think I'm in Love with You" (2014). Another big break for the young actor came in 2015, when she was cast in a starring role on the series "American Crime" (ABC, 2015-).
