Jeff Schaffer

Producer Jeff Schaffer has one of the strangest combinations of credits. On the one hand, he has worked hand in hand with the comedy genius tandem of Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, acting as a consultant on the neurotic friendship comedy "Seinfeld" for the 1994-1995 season, then as executive producer for the 1997-1998 season, before later working on a dozen and a half installments of Larry David's comical depictions of his own life in "Curb Your Enthusiasm" from 2007 to 2009. On the big screen, his credits are the very definition of hit and miss. Despite the presence of comedy legend Ivan Reitman as executive producer, Schaffer's uncredited stint on the vulgar 2004 teen comedy "EuroTrip" yielded meager box office dividends. However, even though 2009's "Brüno," about the outrageous Austrian fashionista, was not as successful as Sacha Baron Cohen's breakout, "Borat," the Kazakh and imbecilic TV talking head, it was still a major step up for Schaffer film-wise, continuing his raunchy run on film. In 2009, Schaffer was back on the small screen as a producer of "The League," a loosely improvised F/X series set in the world of football.
