Richard Warwick

Richard Warwick was a big screen film actor known for powerful performances. Warwick's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as "If. ." (1968), "Romeo & Juliet" (1968) and the dramatic adaptation "The Bed Sitting Room" (1969) with Ralph Richardson. He also appeared in the John Moulder-Brown drama "First Love" (1970) and the biopic "Nicholas and Alexandra" (1971) with Michael Jayston. Warwick worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "The First Churchills" (PBS, 1970-71). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Robin Askwith comedy "Confessions of a Pop Performer" (1975), the thriller "Mannen i skuggan" (1978) with Helmut Griem and "Sebastiane" (1978) with Leonardo Treviglio. He also appeared in the Tatum O'Neal adaptation "International Velvet" (1979). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "The Last of the Mohicans" (PBS, 1971-72). During the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in the comedy "My Favorite Year" (1982) with Peter O'Toole, the comedy "Johnny Dangerously" (1984) with Michael Keaton and "Hamlet" (1990). He also appeared in the Clint Eastwood action movie "White Hunter, Black Heart" (1990) and the Heathcote Williams dramatic adaptation "The Tempest" (1991). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "The Lost Language of Cranes" (PBS, 1991-92). Warwick more recently acted in "Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre" (1996) with William Hurt.
