Road to Success

In need of a drastic change, Lin Wan Xing (Esther Yu) takes a break from her PhD program and returns to her hometown of Hongjing, where she takes a job as a high school sports equipment manager. There, she's tasked with bringing the school's disgraced soccer team to victory. Wan Xing's only hope lies in soccer coach Wang Fa (Chen Jing Ke), who gave up a prestigious job in Britain and ended up in Hongjing, renting out space in a property owned by Wan Xing's family. With Wang Fa's help, the team is able to win, and Wan Xing convinces Wang Fa to become the team's coach full-time. Wang Fa and Wan Xing make an unlikely duo, but they gradually open up to each other as they spend more time together, leading to personal growth and a budding romance. This drama was adapted from the web novel "Xia Lu" by Chang Er.
