Catching Milat

Since 1989, Australia has seen a string of cases involving missing foreign tourists. In 1992, a body was found in Bellangro State Forest, located southwest of Sydney, prompting the police to form a special investigation unit. As the search continued, a total of seven bodies were discovered. Detective Gordon identified a man named Ivan Milat as a suspect, but the leader of the special task force dismissed his concerns, telling him to “broaden his perspective.”

[Season Finale] Past allegations of rape against Ivan Milat came to light, and testimony was also obtained from Paul Onions, a British man who had managed to escape from Ivan's car in 1990. Detective Gordon is eager to arrest Ivan, but he clashes constantly with his superior, Superintendent Clive Small, who insists on proceeding cautiously to ensure a guilty verdict in court. Gordon repeatedly goes too far in his actions. However, on May 22, 1994, the raid on the Ivan household finally begins.
