S1, E1: In the series premiere, Alyssa and her boyfriend Kano met and fell in love while studying at the University of Tampa. In order for their relationship to continue, Alyssa tells Kano that he must win over her Abuela, Maria del Carmen, and pass the infamous "evil eye" test.
