第 3 季，第 3 集: Charles is ecstatic as he has been named 'Student of the Year' based on his scholastic record, extracurricular activities, and the fact he works to help raise three children while attending school full time. He tells Walter that he will fly to Washington, D.C. to receive the award from the President of the United States. Pat Walker, a reporter form the New Brunswick Beacon, arrives to interview Charles. Over the course of the conversation, Jamie, Sarah and Walter overhear Pat conclude that Charles is clinging to a family that has outgrown him -- and he won't leave because he can't admit he has also outgrown them.
