S4, E11: Amy's new college professor and mentor, Laurie Fields (recurring guest star LESLIE HOPE - "24"), encourages her to get involved with Planned Parenthood. When Amy tries to persuade Hannah (recurring guest star SARAH DREW) to volunteer as well, it leads to a serious rift between the friends. Dr. Abbott and Rose consider adopting a child from Africa. While Irv is on his book tour, Edna ends up in the hospital, and Dr. Brown comes to the rescue. Ephram's sadness over his relationship with Amy and his sudden lack of direction in life is made worse by the news that his piano teacher has died.
