S1, E1: While trying to balance both personal and professional lives, SWAT team members Richard Emberlin and Robert Cockerill are called out to a house where a murder suspect has barricaded himself. He allegedly knifed his neighbor to death earlier in the day. As Rich and other members of the Entry team charge the house, Robert provides cover, his finger tense on the trigger. The following day, Rich and the Narcotics Unit plan a hit on a high volume drug den. The suspected drug dealers get a huge surprise when Rich and his SWAT team pay them an unexpected visit. Back at home, Rich regrets breaking it off with his girlfriend, Jeannene. He now desperately wants to win her back. As a single father, he also tries to spend as much time with his only daughter, but the possibility of a SWAT `call out' exists every day. Striking a balance between home and work life is his biggest challenge yet. Robert has a different kind of dilemma on his hands. Every year, top SWAT teams from around the world compete in a grueling two-day competition called the "World SWAT Games." Robert wants to take first place, but at age 43, his body is not like it used to be. When he starts to feel some discomfort in his foot, Robert consults a doctor and receives some unpleasant news.
