While trying to balance both personal and professional lives, SWAT team members Richard Emberlin and Robert Cockerill are called out to a house where a murder suspect has barricaded himself. He allegedly knifed his neighbor to death earlier in the day. As Rich and other members of the Entry team charge the house, Robert provides cover, his finger tense on the trigger. The following day, Rich and the Narcotics Unit plan a hit on a high volume drug den. The suspected drug dealers get a huge surprise when Rich and his SWAT team pay them an unexpected visit. Back at home, Rich regrets breaking it off with his girlfriend, Jeannene. He now desperately wants to win her back. As a single father, he also tries to spend as much time with his only daughter, but the possibility of a SWAT `call out' exists every day. Striking a balance between home and work life is his biggest challenge yet. Robert has a different kind of dilemma on his hands. Every year, top SWAT teams from around the world compete in a grueling two-day competition called the "World SWAT Games." Robert wants to take first place, but at age 43, his body is not like it used to be. When he starts to feel some discomfort in his foot, Robert consults a doctor and receives some unpleasant news.

Dallas SWAT team Negotiator Jake "JD" Byas faces the toughest challenge of his career. As the primary negotiator in a barricaded person operation, JD takes the reins. When the suspect holes himself up in a hotel room and refuses to come out, JD manages to secure him on the phone. JD soon realizes he is dealing with a drug-dealing murder suspect whose girlfriend just left him. The suspect has a loaded handgun and is suicidal. JD's abilities are put to the test as he attempts to defuse a human time bomb. In another neighborhood in Dallas, SWAT team member Terigi Rossi works a narcotics bust. Terigi and his team surround a home in a residential neighborhood. The suspect inside is a young woman dealing drugs out of her home. Surveillance footage reveals one unusual detail about the location... the possibility of an 18-month old infant in the home. The SWAT team has no choice but to temper its aggressive tactics. Terigi, armed with this information, goes in. After a stressful day on the job, JD unwinds by drinking a beer with his girlfriend Rhonda and hanging out with his dogs. Terigi does the opposite. Instead of going home, Terigi clocks in the overnight shift at one of his many second jobs. Terigi is one of those rare individuals who does not tire easily. Week after week, Terigi works countless extra jobs so he can provide the best for his sons and stay-at-home wife. One night, he decides to surprise his wife, Grace, and their two boys with something they would never suspect.

When a vice bust goes bad, Randy Lancaster and his SWAT team are called in to run a warrant on a well know house of prostitution. They don't know how many people are inside. Randy is worried that there could be hostages. After intense negotiations fail, Randy and his SWAT team have no choice but to go in. Across town, Andre Taylor and his team surround a man in a black SUV who is holding a gun to his head. High on drugs, he seems desperate to kill himself. It's a dangerous and intense standoff, and Andre must move swiftly and carefully before the man turns the gun on himself or on them. Passionate about weightlifting and eating right, Randy carries over his disciplined SWAT training routine into his home life. He maintains a strict low-carb diet, including daily protein shakes and fiber drinks. His SWAT teammates joke with him about his commitment to fitness, but Randy wouldn't have it any other way. Andre is at a turning point in his life. Recently divorced, now a single dad, and in a new home, Andre has a lot going on. It's a time of transition for him as he tries to juggle his SWAT responsibilities, his three young children, and a daunting dating scene. Andre decides to take a yoga class and while there, meets a woman who he is smitten by. Will they, or won't they, go out on a date?

When a car used to rob a large cache of assault rifles is found parked outside a house in a Dallas suburb, the SWAT team is called in. Senior Corporal Christian D'Alesandro, a sniper, must call out a possibly armed and dangerous suspect from his home. But when a young boy exits the house, the SWAT officers are immediately forced to react to this unexpected event in order to protect the boy. On the home front, we meet Christian's beautiful 17-year old daughter; she is getting ready to leave for college and Christian is struggling to let go. Meanwhile, Senior Corporal Steve Claggett takes us on a dangerous raid of an alleged meth house in a rural outpost of Dallas. The suspect is said to have built tunnels throughout his property for getaways. Later, Steve must execute a narcotics warrant on a FEMA apartment complex full of hurricane Katrina evacuees, where a few alleged drug dealers are trying to do business.

Officers Steve Claggett and Rich Emberlin are called out to help execute an arrest warrant on a gang of suspected crack-cocaine dealers barricaded inside a house. The SWAT team's tactical skills are put to the test as they overcome the barriers-to-entry put up by the alleged dealers including reinforced steel cages, video surveillance, booby traps and pit bulls. Steve brings home the lessons that he uses to train rookie SWAT officers when he takes his sons rock climbing and teaches them to conquer their fears. Rich confronts a whole different type of fear, the fear of commitment, when he and his girlfriend Jeannene take their relationship to new heights and sign up for flying lessons together.
