S1, E3: In 1944, in southern England, Allied troops are getting ready to land in Normandy. US soldier Jack Lieb is there with his amateur camera. On D-Day, John Ford shoots in color with his camera crews. His Hollywood colleague George Stevens also lands in northern France with his team on 6 June 1944. The men document the advance and finally the liberation of Paris up close.
