S3, E7: Rockford, summoned before the Grand Jury concerning the alleged kidnapping of a union official, is cited for contempt and put In a Federal prison. William Daniels guest-stars as U.S. Attorney Bevins, who badgers Rockford about his associate, the missing union leader who is alleged to have talked with Jim on the phone the day of his disappearance. When Rockford is released briefly on a technical charge, he is able to work up a defense. But before he gets full proof he is subpoenaed again and then jailed on the contempt charge.
