All physical evidence at the home of Nora Hamlin (Carol Byron) indicates her estranged husband shot himself over their separation. But closer study by Forensic chemist Ray Murray (Olan Soule) sends the detectives back for further investigation. Mabel Albertson portrays Jessie Gaynor, Nora's mother.
