The Fourth Man

S3, E1: Lori, a stewardess friend of investigator Jim Rockford, is the target of an assassin in an airport parking lot and Rockford soon discovers the prime suspect is a cold-blooded "hit” man. Series regulars include Noah Beery as Joseph, Rockford's father; Stuart Margolin as Angel, Rockford's ex-prison buddy; Gretchen Corbett as attorney Beth Davenport; and Joe Santos as Detective Becker. Lori's only clue to the attempt on her life was that passenger Tim Farrell overreacted to her friendly chit-chat that he was now a "regular" on the airline's passenger list. Farrell vehemently denied the "regular" charge. Soon after, attempts on Lori's life began. Farrell is easily tracked to his coin store, where Rockford, posing as a customer, uncovers leads to the man's other occupation as a “gun for hire."
