S1, E9: Part 2 of 2. Warner Jameson (Joseph Cotten) warns Rockford not to reveal to his daughter, Susan (Sharon Gless), that in spite of her fiance Mark's (Geoffrey Land) reputation, he suspects he is a phony. After a rough trip to Newark, and harassment by both the underworld and federal agents, Rockford would like to quit but circumstances won't permit it. He learns that Jameson will go to grave extremes to protect his daughter.
