Aval Peyar Thamizharasi

Siva Rao is a local puppeteer who along with his family wanders through different villages performing the art for his survival. When they land up in Tirunelveli, a rich man Chelladurai decides to support them for the sake of his young grandson Jothi’s love for the art. Thereafter, good times come knocking for Siva and his family. His grand-daughter Thamizharasi is enrolled in a local school, where she grows up, and works hard to pass out with flying colors. Soon she gets admission into an engineering college in Pune, but Jothi and Thamizharasi develop affinity for each other. Unable to leave her, Jothi rapes Thamizharasi, leaving her traumatized in the process. This makes Jothi’s grandfather send him away to live with his father. Years later, Jothi returns to the village again with hopes to find the girl and apologize for his grave mistake. But Thamizharasi is missing. Where did she go? Will Jothi ever be able to find her?
