Barbosa is one of the heroes, widely considered one of the world’s best goalkeepers. But everything changed during the 1950 World Cup, played for the first time in Brazil. With 11 minutes left, Uruguay shocked the crowd and scored the winning goal – a goal that is still considered to be the greatest sporting tragedy to befall Brazil.
