Guiding Emily

Emily (Drew) has an ideal life that veers off course when she becomes permanently blind after an unfortunate rock climbing accident. After her fiancé leaves her, Emily retreats into herself, struggling to cope with her new reality. Meanwhile, potential guide dog Garth (who’s thoughts will be vocalized through voice over) is also struggling with his rigorous training. With the help of Emily’s friend Matthew (Cupo) and Garth’s trainer Katie, both make headway in their important transitions. Having crossed paths with Emily several times as a puppy, Garth is drawn to Emily’s scent and the pair form a special bond when she finally applies for a guide dog. Although Garth is supposed to go to someone higher on the waitlist, he and Emily end up getting paired because of this bond. With Garth by her side, Emily confesses her feelings for Matt and the three embark on their new life journey.
