Shi Lu (Shang Yu Xian) struggles to rebuild her life in the United States after losing contact with her father (Wang Yan Hui) years ago. When her estranged father asks her to care for his sickly son from another relationship, she reluctantly agrees. The young boy arrives for medical treatment, but suddenly disappears just as Shi Lu receives a career-changing job offer.
