Jacek lives in the country in the south of Poland. Happily in love, he plans to marry his girlfriend. One day, he has an accident on the construction site of the statue of Christ King of Poland in Świebodzin. His face doesn’t look familiar anymore and needs surgery, becoming the first human to have a face transplant. From this moment on, nothing is the same. Jacek has to find his place among family and friends, to whom he has become a stranger.
