Nantucket Noel
It’s Christmas season in Nantucket and the islanders are preparing to celebrate the festivities. Christina, 30s, toy store owner, inherited the store on the wharf from her mom who recently passed away and she is having a hard time moving on. Andy, 30s, confident, workaholic real estate developer, visit his father on Nantucket with daughter Wink, 9. Andy’s father Oscar, irascible, but sometimes charming, has just bought a mansion on Nantucket and is planning to retire there. Christina hears from the other wharf tenants, Mimi, Harriet that Oscar might have bought the wharf. On the way back to her store, Christina falls into a hole in the wharf and is rescued by Andy and Wink. Andy helps Christina back to her store where Wink tries to pick-pocket a toy mermaid. Andy insists that they make this a teachable moment… Christina suggests Wink could help in the store the next day – the beginning of a friendship with this child struggling with her parent’s divorce. Christina discovers Oscar and Andy are indeed planning to knock down the wharf and redevelop it into a new marina. The other tenants are sad but the relocation package offered by Oscar and Andy is generous. However, for Christina, her store is so entwined with her grief and her loyalty to her family legacy that she can't give in. One by one, the other wharf tenants leave and Christina finally comes to terms with letting go and decides to open a new Toy Store Café with Mimi. Christina really likes Andy, but doesn’t want to move to NYC and he can’t stay on the island. Oscar retires and Andy is put in charge of the marina development. Andy’s going to be spending a lot more time on the island and they will see where their romance leads.
