The Silenced
In 1938, during the Japanese occupation of Korea, Joo Ran (Park Bo Young) is transferred to an all-girls' boarding school to recover her health. Alongside her new friend Yeon Duk (Park So Dam), Joo Ran's health improves thanks to Headmistress Sanae's (Uhm Ji Won) special treatment program. However, she soon notices strange things happening to herself and other girls: several students disappear, and Joo Ran notices her body undergoing abnormal changes, including suddenly developing freakish strength. Joo Ran and Yeon Duk decide to investigate, sneaking into the headmistress' office in search of information, where they find Japanese documents detailing a program to test a performance-enhancing drug. Joo Ran and Yeon Duk can only draw one conclusion: they and their fellow students are unwitting participants in this human experiment, and there's no telling what might happen to them.
