Congresswoman Latham and a colleague watch four marine jumpers jump into the ocean from an M22 Osprey. With two marines left to jump, the plane is struck by a swell in the ocean. Harm and Mac are instructed to investigate.

On Christmas Eve night, Harm visits the Vietnam War Memorial to light a candle in his father's name. As he does so, a woman approaches him and calls him "Little Harm," a nickname that only Harm's father used. As they talk, Harm learns that this woman had met his father the day before his plane was shot down.
