Armand Kaliz

Armand Kaliz was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Kaliz appeared in such films as the Greta Garbo drama "The Temptress" (1926), "Fast and Furious" (1927) and "The Stolen Bride" (1927). He also appeared in "The Marriage Playground" (1929), the adaptation "Gold Diggers of Broadway" (1929) with Nancy Welford and the dramatic period piece "Noah's Ark" (1929) with Dolores Costello. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the crime flick "Little Caesar" (1930) with Edward G Robinson, "Three Wise Girls" (1932) with Jean Harlow and "Design For Living" (1933) with Gary Cooper. He also appeared in the Dolores Del Rio musical comedy "Flying Down to Rio" (1933). In the latter part of his career, he continued to act in the comedy "Cafe Metropole" (1937) with Loretta Young, the Don Ameche musical comedy "Josette" (1938) and the Charles Boyer drama "Algiers" (1938). He also appeared in the Rudy Vallee musical "Gold Diggers in Paris" (1938) and "A Trip to Paris" (1938). Kaliz last acted in "Skylark" (1941). Kaliz passed away in February 1941 at the age of 54.
