Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) and Burgess (Marina Squerciati) are given a new patrol car, but are challenged with keeping it brand new. A run in with a psychotic woman leads the Intelligence Unit to discover a drug smuggling operation which has put several girl's lives in peril. Voight's (Jason Beghe) overprotective act with Lindsay (Sophia Bush) leads her right where he doesn't want as she also helps to keep Justin out of trouble. Meanwhile on stakeout, things get tense between Olinsky (Elias Koteas) and Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) as Olinski tries to teach him the finer points of surveillance.

The Jeffersonian investigates the murder of a convicted felon who had been released to a halfway house, but disappeared, and a suspect in the case has ties to Booth.  Meanwhile, Brennan testifies at an FBI hearing about the circumstances regarding her assault of an unarmed suspect from a previous case, and the outcome of the hearing could lead to her suspension and prevent her from working with the FBI. Aubrey and Jessica’s first kiss is delayed again and Hodgins continues to push Angela away.

In the season finale, Joel hurries to covertly complete Jesus’s mission, while Gus and Cobi each deal with the authorities holding them accountable for their crimes. Lex goes into surgery and has an ethereal encounter, and all four boys make one last attempt to escape Belize once and for all.

Kenny's jealousy over Brett's relationship with his best girl friend leads Kenny to realize he's been a bad friend to Allison. Meanwhile, Jimmy and Shannon start their own ridesharing company.
