George Lopez's (series star GEORGE LOPEZ) life hasn't become any easier since he became the first assembly line worker to be promoted to plant manager at a Los Angeles airplane parts factory. Although his affable friend Ernie (series star VALENTE RODRIGUEZ) and the other workers on the floor still tease him, George's biggest challenge remains managing his tough and acerbic but loving mother, Benny (series star BELITA MORENO), while maintaining a civil relationship with her both at work and at home. Fortunately, George's devoted wife, Angie (series star CONSTANCE MARIE), possesses the patience of a saint and copes surprisingly well with Benny's insensitive wisecracks and George's freewheeling approach to parenthood. George and Angie's 10-year-old son, Max (series star LUIS ARMAND GARCIA), is a sports-loving, constantly curious ball of energy.
