Christopher Misiano

Christopher Misiano is an American TV producer and director best known for his work on the critically-acclaimed hits "The West Wing," "ER," and "Law & Order." Misiano, a New York native and childhood friend of Jerry Seinfeld, was educated at Queens College and began his career in Hollywood as a camera operator on TV shows and commercials. He worked his way up through the ranks of "Law & Order"'s production crew, beginning in 1991 as a camera operator, becoming the show's cinematographer by 1993 and directing his first episodes just two years later. With his newfound directorial career booming, Misiano joined the crew of the high-rated and visually groundbreaking medical drama "ER," then later moved to the equally acclaimed political drama "The West Wing," where he became a master of the show's visual signature, the intricately choreographed steadicam shots known as "walk and talks." For his work on "The West Wing," Misiano earned nominations for outstanding directing at both the Emmy Awards and Directors Guild Awards. By the late 2000s, Misiano made yet another career transition, this time to the role of producer on the short-lived comedy-drama "Eli Stone" and the "Law & Order" spinoff "Law & Order: Los Angeles."
