Poppy, Aurora's friend, had been planning an online embroidery business with Cara. She and her boyfriend Dustin, a newspaper reporter, had been arguing constantly lately, and she hadn't even shown up to his work award ceremony. Concerned, Aurora and Sally, Dustin's colleague, went to Poppy's house and found her murdered. A threatening note was later discovered, suggesting Poppy had been having an affair with Sally's cousin Lizzy's fiancé.
