Perry defends a young heiress who married a fortune hunter, and who now has been accused of murdering the woman who was blackmailing her new husband.

When Herman orders Eddie to go to bed, he finds his son playing with a tape recorder that belongs to the father of one of Eddie's friends who is a disc jockey. Herman is unable to resist playing with the machine and soon becomes intrigued by the sound of his own voice as he records a number of his favorite songs. Though he is pleased with his accomplishment, Herman erases the tape and leaves it for Eddie to return.

Tonight is the night that Beaver will receive his football letter. However, the players don't want to get up in front of everyone wearing jackets and ties, they want to dress casually. It turns out that Beaver is the only one who shows up dressed casually.

Earp receives a report of a wagon attacked by renegades. A group of freighters found them but were acting funny. Earp goes alone to investigate finding the freighters leaving two graves behind as he finds sign of a woman still alive.
