Kathleen Beller

Actress Kathleen Beller, married to 1980s pop singer Thomas Dolby of "She Blinded Me With Science" fame, got her start acting in commercials as a child and adolescent before landing her first television role in 1971 on the daytime soap opera "Search for Tomorrow." After leaving the show in 1974, Beller moved from New York to Los Angeles, and managed to get a small part in Francis Ford Coppola's second installment of the Corleone family trilogy "The Godfather: Part II." Though she continued pursuing a film career, with parts in such movies as 1978's "The Betsy" (alongside Robert Duvall and Sir Laurence Olivier) and the Golden Globe-nominated 1979 drama "Promises in the Dark," Beller never fully made the transition. Her career was spent primarily in television, mostly in soap operas and TV movies. Her biggest role was a 45-episode arc as Kirby Anders on the wildly popular 1980s prime-time soap "Dynasty." Beller left the show in 1984, but she appeared in the aptly named 1991 reunion "Dynasty: The Reunion," reprising her old role once more.
